With the ongoing development of internet access, the recovery community has adapted to new reality. Today there are several online meetings of different 12 steps groups which offer a relief especially to people from cities or rural areas that don’t has any recovery resources available.

Academy gives voice to people in recovery from addiction
The Recovery Academy of Ireland was launched in City Hall, Dublin on Wednesday, 23 November 2016 to a standing-room only crowd. Its primary aim is to support people in recovery from addiction and their friends and families, promote the concept of recovery and advocate on behalf of those in recovery.
On the 3rd and 4th November the RECOVEU Final Conference took place at the University of Nicosia, Cyprus. The two day conference served as a fertile ground upon which all who took part were able to plant ideas, question established practices and suggest new avenues regarding adults in addiction recovery.
Hundreds of people joined the 5 th Annual Recovery Walk and Family Day which took place in Dublin on 10 September 2016 to celebrate recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. The walk was one of a number of recovery walks...
