To Hell and Back for Recovery
Forty RAI members and supporters took part in the Hell and Back Endurance Challenge held on Saturday, 17 June 2017 in Kilruddery Estate, Bray, Co. Wicklow.
On the hottest day of the year so far, they climbed mountains, crawled through bogs, crossed rivers and lakes, and conquered an excruciating range of man-made obstacles – all in the name of recovery. There was one injury on the day – a twisted ankle – but everyone else completed the gruelling course.
The reason for taking part was to highlight recovery and the many social activities that benefit recovery.
Afterwards, the happy but weary contestants made their way to Soilse for a well-earned meal. All agreed it was one of the social highlights of the year!
